Summary
For media created outside of Panopto, such as professional editing software, this content can be uploaded manually to Panopto
Body
If you created a video outside of Panopto, such as editing using professional editing software, you can still upload this content to Panopto via WebCampus.
Depending on how the course is set up, there are two ways to do this.
Uploading Media: Panopto Recordings Tab
- Go to WebCampus, then select the course to upload in.
- In the left navigation, select Panopto Recordings.
- Optionally, select the sub-folder to upload to. Students will need to select their Assignment Folder to upload.
- Select Create, then select Upload Media.

- Confirm the folder to upload to. Then follow the on screen instructions to upload.

Uploaded media will still require processing time for Panopto to optimize the content. Once complete, you can edit it like any other Panopto session.
Uploading Media: Via WebCampus RTE
- Go to WebCampus, then select the course to upload in.
- Locate a place to submit the video which utilizes the WebCampus rich text editor (RTE): a Discussion, a textbox assignment, etc.
- Select the Panopto icon. If it is not there, select the three "more" dots in the RTE menu to uncover it
- In the window that opens up, select the Upload tab
