Updating an Expired MyUNLV Password

Summary

Your MyUNLV password will expire periodically, or anytime a new password is requested. When this happens, you will need to change it.

Body

When signing in to MyUNLV, you may receive a Your Password Has Expired message. Your MyUNLV password will expire periodically, or will be expired anytime you change your password (either self-service, or though the IT Help Desk). You will receive a message like this:

Updating an Expired Password

If you receive the password expired message, select Click here to change your password.

You will then be prompted to change your password:

  1. The Current Password will be the password sent to you via email, or given by the IT Help Desk.
  2. Select a New Password, then enter it again in Confirm Password.
    • Your password cannot be a password you used before
    • Your password must meet the requirements listed on screen
  3. Review your security question. If it is blank or you would like to change it:
    • Select the Magnifying glass, then select a question from the list. Don't enter your own question.
    • Enter your answer in the Response field.
  4. Select Change Password
