MyE911 Install and Configuration

This guide provides instructions on how to configure location information for Jabber Desktop users. 

Procedure

Manual MyE911 Install (Window)

Follow these steps to install MyE911 on your windows desktop.

  1. Download MyE911
  2. Once the client has been downloaded to your computer, you’ll want to install it from the folder it was downloaded to.
  3. Once installed, go to your start menu and search for MyE911. You should see the following icon as shown below:

  1. Login to MyE911
  2. Once the client has been downloaded to your computer, you’ll want to install it from the folder it was downloaded to.
  3. During the installation process you’ll receive an error/prompt that looks like the following when opening: 
  4. To bypass the error you want to go to system preferences > security & privacy and selecting “open anyway” and then “open”

 

MyE911 Client Login Instructions

  1. Open the client 
  2. Once open it’ll bring you to a login screen where you would enter your credentials
    1. Primary server - e911-locator.voice.unlv.edu/
    2. Backup server - e911-locator.voice.unlv.edu/
    3. Username - your ace id
    4. Password - RedskyiUNLV1$ (will be prompted to create your own after initial login)

 

How to set your E911 location

  1. Once you’re logged in, select “My Locations” then navigate to the bottom right and select  “Create Location” as depicted below:

  1. Enter the address location in the required fields and click “Add Location” and you’re done.
