This document will explain to stakeholders how to log into TDX PPM and use the Customer Portal for new projects, adding risks and issues, and view project plans/assigned tasks.

Procedure

How to Use the Customer Portal

  1. Navigate to the Client Portal at: https://help.unlv.edu/TDClient/35/BA-Support-Portal/Home/.
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. You will be redirected to a log in page.  Use your ACE ID credentials to log into the Client Portal.
  4. At the top of the page you will have the following tabs:
    1. Home Tab
    2. Projects - you can view all the projects you are a resource on
    3. Services - you can request services offered by the different departments
    4. Knowledge Base - This is a self-service resource that provides users the power to find answers to their questions and issues.  It contains both user guides and procedure articles.

How to Request Services

  1. Navigate to: https://help.unlv.edu/TDClient/35/BA-Support-Portal/Home/.
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. You will be redirected to a log in page.  Use your ACE ID credentials to log into the Client Portal.
  4. Click on the Services tab.
  5. Click on the Department you would like to request the service from.
  6. Navigate to the service you are interested in requesting, and click on the service name to open its service page.
  7. Click the"Tab" to the right of the page labeled Request Service or similar.
    • If the service is unavailable, there will not be a "Tab" listed
  8. Fill out the form providing as much detail as possible.
    • Note: required fields have an asterisk (*) next to them
  9. At the botton of the form, click Submit.

How to View Projects You Are Assigned To

  1. Navigate to: https://help.unlv.edu/TDClient/35/BA-Support-Portal/Home/.
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. You will be redirected to a log in page.  Use your ACE ID credentials to log into the Client Portal.
  4. Click on the Project tab.
  5. The list of projects you are a resource on will be displayed.
  6. Click on the project you would like to view tasks on..
  7. Click on the Plans tab on the far right.
  8. The list of tasks you are assigned to on the project will be displayed.

How to Update Tasks You Are Assigned To

  1. Navigate to: https://help.unlv.edu/TDClient/35/BA-Support-Portal/Home/.
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. You will be redirected to a log in page.  Use your ACE ID credentials to log into the Client Portal.
  4. Click on the Project tab.
  5. The list of projects you are a resource on will be displayed.
  6. Click on the project you would like to view tasks on.
  7. Click on the Plans tab on the far right.
  8. The list of tasks you are assigned to on the project will be displayed under My Tasks.
  9. Click on the task you want to update.
  10. Click on the Update tab.
  11. Update the Percent Complete.
  12. Add any comments you may have and notify project stakeholders if needed.
  13. Click Save.

How to View, Add Risks, and Issues on Projects You Are Assigned To

  1. Navigate to: https://help.unlv.edu/TDClient/35/BA-Support-Portal/Home/.
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. You will be redirected to a log in page.  Use your ACE ID credentials to log into the Client Portal.
  4. Click on the Project tab.
  5. The list of projects you are a resource on will be displayed.
  6. Click on the project you would like to view or add risks to.
  7. Click on the Risk tab or Issue tab.
  8. The list of Risk/Issues will be displayed.

How to Add a New Issue

  1. Click on the +New tab on the top left.
  2. Fill out the form and Click Save once done.
  3. You can edit and update issues that have already been submitted by selecting it on the risk and clicking on the update or edit tab.
