1. Solid Red, multiple beeps |
Invalid Access |
- Maybe the user doesn’t have access to the door or Zone.
- The user card has not been updated or performed correctly.

- Read the key card and check if it has access to the door during the current time frame.
- If access permissions are correct and the key has been updated, update the lock using the PPD.
- The unit is not communicating correctly with the server.
- Card Expired.

2. LED Flashes 5 times, multiple beeps |
Key rejection due to Privacy-Deadbolt being engaged |
The user does not have permission to override the deadbolt. |
- Use a key with Privacy-override enabled
- Grant the user Privacy override
- Possible hotel lock installation error
|
3. Solid Green LED with a single beep |
Door is unlocked |
- Valid key used
- Opened with the PPD
- Opened remotely from the network
|
- Turn the lever to open the door.
- If door needs to be set to a locked state, please contact the Rebel Repair Help Desk for further assistance.

4. Red LED and beep occur between 6 – 20 seconds AFTER the door has been unlocked |
Door is re-locking |
- A timer is enabled on locks to re-engage after a specific amount of time
|
- Present the card again to open the door.
- Submit a Rebel Repair request to inquire about different programming abilities.
|
5. Red LED flashes 4 times, followed by a 1-Green flash and beeping tones. |
Low Batteries |
- Batteries haven't been changed in a while.
- If you notice a pattern, please make sure to notate this when submitting a request
|
- It is necessary to replace the battery and update the lock.
- The lock is a warning the door lock battery is very low.
- Please inform maintenance to change the batteries and update the lock using the PPD.

Fast blinking Orange/Yellow LED |
Reading process |
This occurs with slow RFID keycards. |
- The data exchange process is occurring. Keep the card on the reader until the led turns green or red.

Flashing Blue LED |
The key is being updated

The key is requiring an update. |
DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE READER until the LED stops flashing. |

- Please place the card against the reader until the LED stops flashing.

- Try to re-access the door.

Delayed or Slow Red LED |
Not an authorized Salto card format |
Card does not have appropriate chip or chip is damaged and cannot read programming. |
- Possible aftermarket key card or from a third-party vendor not certified by Salto.
- Contact the Rebel Repair Help Desk for further assistance.

Immediate Blue flashing LED followed by Red LED |
Card has not been appropriately read |
Key removed before the reading process has been adequately finished. |
Keep the card on the reader until the LED stops flashing. |
Red LED and continuous beep |
Door left is ajar |
Warning that door has been left open. |
Contact the Rebel Repair Help Desk if closing the door does not resolve the issue. |
After the standard signal, one solid Blue LED is accompanied by a long tone. |
There has been a format change to the user’s profile. |
The format change for the user’s card can’t be updated at the wall reader/hotspot. |
The card must be updated from a Salto Workstation using the encoder (login and press the F9 key). |
