SPSS 29 Fix Patch 2 for Mac Installation Guide

SPSS mac users who have upgraded their computer to macOS Sonoma will need SPSS 29 with Fix Patch 2 installed to use the software on the latest OS.

Before you begin

Make sure SPSS 29 is installed and you are currently running macOS version 14 or later.

Install SPSS 29 Fix Patch 2

  1. Download SPSS 29 Fix Patch 2. (UNLVMail authentication required)
  2. Launch the installer SPSS29_FP2_Mac.pkg.
  3. Once the installer screen appears, click Continue.
  4. At the Read Me screen, click Continue.
  5. At the Software License Agreement screen, click Continue.
  6. Click Agree to accept the license agreement.
  7. (Optional) If the Select a Destination screen appears, select the primary Macintosh HD and click Continue.
  8. At the next screen, click Install.
  9. If you are asked to login to move forward with the installation, please type in your local username and password for the Mac computer.
  10. Click Install Software.
  11. Once the installation is complete, click Close.

  1. When it asks if you would like to move the SPSS installer to Trash, click Move to Trash.

  1. Launch SPSS 29 and verify software works.
  2. Empty local desktop Trash Bin.
