Minitab 22 Installation and Activation Guide

Minitab is a statistics software package that analyzes current and historical data to discover trends, predict patterns, uncover relationships between variables, and create visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.

Minitab is available at no charge for UNLV faculty and students. The university license expires on December 31, 2026.

Before You Begin

System Requirements

To install the Minitab 22 Desktop App, you will need:

Download Minitab 22 Desktop App

Step 1: Sign in to Minitab

  1. Go to the Minitab licensing website (opens in a new tab) .
  2. Sign in using your Minitab account credentials.

Step 2: Download the Installer

  1. On the Welcome to Minitab page, select Download Desktop App.
  2. If the Welcome page does not appear, select My Products from the top-right corner of the page, then choose Download Desktop App.

The installer file will begin downloading to your computer.

Install Minitab 22 Desktop App

Step 1: Start the Installer

  1. Open the downloaded installer file for Minitab 22.
  2. When the setup screen appears, select Next. You may leave the default language selected.

Step 2: Accept the License Agreement

  1. On the Software Subscription Agreement screen, review the agreement.
  2. Scroll to the bottom, select the checkbox labeled I accept the terms in the Software Subscription Agreement and acknowledge the Privacy Notice , then select Next.

Step 3: Choose Activation and Install

  1. On the Activate Software screen, select Activate with a license, then select Next.
  2. On the Licensing Method screen, select Sign In, then select Next.
  3. On the Destination Folder screen, select Next to use the default location.
  4. On the Ready to Install screen, select Install.
  5. When installation is complete, select Finish.

Minitab is now installed on your computer.

Activate Minitab 22 Desktop App

Step 1: Launch and Sign In

  1. Open Minitab 22.
  2. When prompted, select Sign In.

Step 2: Complete Web Authentication

  1. A web browser will open. Enter your UNLV email address, then select Next.
  2. Sign in using your UNLV ACE account.
  3. Review the Software Subscription Agreement.
  4. Scroll to the bottom, select the checkbox to accept the terms and Privacy Notice, then select Accept.

After accepting the agreement, you may close the web browser. The Minitab desktop application is now activated.
