Manage Multiple Google Accounts

Summary

You can sign into multiple Google accounts at the same time, such as personal account, UNLVMail, and Rebelmail.

Body

Occasionally, you may be logged into your personal Gmail account and want to check your Rebelmail or UNLVMail account (or vice versa).

Adding and Switching Google Accounts

Google allows you to remain signed into multiple accounts at the same time.

  1. Sign in to Google
  2. In the top-right corner of your browser window, select your profile icon and choose Add another account
  3. Follow the instructions to sign in to the account you want to use or click Continue without an Account if you prefer not to log in.
  4. When you select your profile icon in the top-right again, you should now be able to select the secondary account to switch over to it

Creating Additional Browser Profiles

Some browsers let you have multiple profiles, so you can have separate browsing sessions, bookmarks, history, and other preferences when using different accounts.

Create a Google Chrome Profile Without An Account

You can create Chrome Profiles without a separate Google account. Please note that the profile data will not sync between devices. This can be helpful when using multiple ACE accounts, such as your regular and ACE Privileged accounts or generic group accounts.

  1. Open the browser and click the user icon in the upper right hand corner. Screenshot of grey user icon next to three vertical dot menu
  2. Click the "+ Add" button, then select "Continue without an account".

NOTE: Leaving the "Create a desktop shortcut" box checked will create a new icon on your desktop that may be used to easily access this Chrome profile.

  4. Ensure that you use the newly created Chrome profile by either double-clicking the desktop shortcut or clicking the profile icon in the upper right hand corner.
