Microsoft Teams is not a UNLV-supported collaboration tool.
Most features in Microsoft Teams are disabled for campus accounts, and the IT Help Desk can only assist with login and basic access issues.
If you have been invited to an existing Team created outside of UNLV and cannot log in, you may request limited access below. You may see the following error message:
“You don’t have the required permissions to access this org. Talk to your IT admin for more info or switch to another account.”
Please keep in mind:
- Access is restricted to joining Teams created by others.
- If you previously had access to a Team but can no longer see it, please have someone from that Team re-add your ACEID@unlv.edu. Once re-added, you should be able to minimally interact with the Team based on the permissions that were previously set. In other-words, they will need to message you first to initiate conversation. If those conversations are closed, you will not be able to re create a new conversation unless contacted first.
- Advanced functionality (such as creating Teams, hosting, or enabling full collaboration features) is not available.
- For video conferencing and collaboration, UNLV supports Zoom, or Google resources.
- If you were previously added to Teams, you will need to be re added by those administrators.
