Invoice Review - Personal Liability

This user guide explains the process of updating personal liability for charges, and reviewing invoices using the Central Billing application.

Procedure
Reviewing Charges in the Business Affairs Central Billing Portal
There are two primary functions for reviewing and updating personal liability of charges both under the Liability Review section of the Central Billing Portal: Reviewing Individual Charges (User), and Reviewing Charges by Invoice (Account Managers/Cost Center Managers).
- Navigate to the Business Affairs Central Billing Portal and log in using your ACE Account ID and Password as shown below.
- From the Central Billing home page click on the Charges button as shown below.
- From the Charges page click on the Liability Review button as shown below.
- The Liability Review page for an individual will display a complete list of all charges designated for that individual that have not been reviewed. To perform the review process check the personal box for any charge that is the personal responsibility of the user, and once done reviewing the charges click on the Reviewed column header check box to add a check box to the review column for all charges. Then click on the "Save Changes" button to complete the review process (see image below).
- Navigate to the Business Affairs Central Billing Portal and log in using your ACE Account ID and Password as shown below.
- From the Central Billing home page click on the Invoices button as shown below.
- From the Invoices page click on the Liability Review button as shown below.
- The Liability Review page for Account Managers/Cost Center Managers will display a complete list of all invoices for their assigned accounts that have not been reviewed. To perform the review process click on the invoice number link in the first column of the table. Once you clisk on an invoice number, a table will display all charges pertaining to that invoice. Each charge can be marked as personal and/or employee responsible, then the check box for reviewed should be marked for each charge. Then click on the "Save Changes" button to complete the review process. The report can be exported to Microsoft Excel for record keeping purposes by clicking on the "Export to Excel" button. This is shown in the image below.
