Overview
Request UNLV-barcoded device re-image and wiping services.
Eligibility
This service only applies to UNLV-barcoded desktop computers, laptops. Personal devices are not supported.
Getting Started
Request one or both of the following services:
Re-image
Request a device re-image if your:
- device is running slow.
- device is on an older version of its operating system.
- device is in need of a refresh.
What is a device re-image?
A device to be re-imaged will have all of its data erased and have Student Life Technology's default computer configuration applied to the operating system. The data erased is non-recoverable.
Wipe
Request a device wipe if:
- an employee is no longer working for UNLV.
- device ownership has changed.
- the device is ready to be surplused.
What is a device wipe?
A device to be wiped will have all of the data stored on the system erased. This data is non-recoverable. If specified after the wipe, the device may be set aside in SLT's storage or scheduled to be surplused.
