Eligibility
Any UNLV-owned equipment with any of the following conditions are valid for requesting surplus:
- The equipment is out of warranty.
- The equipment is older than 4 years.
- The equipment is defective & warranty replacement is not an option.
- The equipment no longer has a valid use at UNLV.
Other computer peripherals may be requested for surplus such as:
- Monitors
- Keyboards & Mice
- Cables
- Webcams
- UNLV-barcoded Cellphones
- Other Computer Hardware Peripherals.
Getting Started
Users can request to surplus for any reason. Student Life Technology may consult the user for other possible solutions before getting rid of unwanted equipment such as transferring old or unused equipment to another department that may benefit.
Once requested Student Life Technology will reach out to the requester to schedule time to pick up the items for surplus. We will then work with UNLV's surplus department to pick up these items.
