Request Building Access Support

Specify what type of support/issue your employee is having with one (or more) of the following Access Control Systems:

  • Alarm Codes
  • Blackboard
  • Onity
  • Salto 
Alarms

Student Life supports and maintains Burglar Alarm Panels throughout it's facilities. Please make sure to check all areas employees will need to arm/disarm for facilities in question.

Blackboard

Although Student Life does not support the Blackboard hardware or software, Student Life Technology collaborates with OIT/Rebelcard to request add/change/removals for Blackboard doors as well as order workcards from the Rebelcard office that are used in Student Life spaces. 

Onity

Onity, often referred as "dip locks" is most prevalent in Student Life spaces. Uses a cards magnetic stripe to confirm access from a card. See Onity KB article for in depth information and troubleshooting techniques

Salto

Salto, often referred to "prox locks" is the newest card management system in Student Life. Cards will need to be activated before use as it's data is read through a chip in the card.

Support/Issues

Onity/Salto/Blackboard

  • Card doesn't work/stopped working (specify locations)
  • Card has been encoded, but you still have no access
  • Light indicator sheet look up

Alarms

  • Code/Instructions reminder
  • Abnormalities with Panel

*Any alarm log requests or door reports need to be submitted by a Facilities Director, AD, or Police Services

Provide card numbers and existing work order numbers, if possible.
