Overview
Request assistance enrolling a wired (Ethernet) device onto UNLV's network.
Eligibility
All main campus students that reside in the residence halls are eligible to submit this request. Guests that reside in the residence halls are eligible at the discretion of Conference Housing. The device to be enrolled is required to be using an Ethernet (wired) connection.
Getting Started
Users are able to self-enroll their devices. To get started please plug in your wired device it should auto navigate to the self-enrollment page. If it does not, please navigate to the following link on another device: https://connect.resnet.unlv.edu:9443/enroll.
Once on the 'Enroll a Device' page:
- Log into your ACE account.
- You will then be required to input your devices WIRED MAC address. If you need assistance finding your wired MAC address, please give us a call 702-895-5324. We will be able to assist you over the phone or, if need be, schedule a room appointment to assist further.
- Select the type of device you are attempting to enroll.
- Enter a contact email address and phone number. This information will only be used if Student Life Technology needs to contact you about your device.
- Select the carrier used for your contact phone number.
- Select 'Enroll Device'
Desktop Computers
To enroll a desktop computer:
- Plug an Ethernet cable into your desktop and the wall.
- Open a browser. You should be auto directed to an enrollment page specific to desktop computers.
- Log into the page.
- Download the policy key
- This key requires that you have some sort of anti-virus installed. If you do not, please contact us to assist.
- This policy key is an agreement that you will not partake in an illegal activities on UNLV's network. Any activity is subject to reporting to appropriate authorities.
- Install the policy key
- Once installed, you will be granted Internet access.
