Syncing Zoom with Google Calendar

UNLVMail users will automatically have Zoom installed in Google Calendar, so you can create meetings in Google Calendar and link a Zoom meeting to your calendar event. Events created in Google Calendar will automatically sync with Zoom and appear in Google Calendar and in Zoom. There are two steps to enable this process.

Calendar and Contacts Integration

You will first need to turn on Calendar and Contacts Integration. To do this:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account at it.unlv.edu/zoom
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the tab bar, select Mail & Calendar
  4. Scroll down to Integrations > Calendar and Contacts Integration
  5. Select Configure Calendar and Contacts Service

  6. A window will pop up, asking you to continue with certain permissions set for Google Calendar. Select Continue

  7. You will be prompted to log into your @unlv.edu email. Review the text and select Continue
    a. You may also be prompted to review what permissions Zoom has access to, then select Continue again

  8. Once you have done this, Zoom will reload. Navigate back to Settings > Mail & Calendar
  9. You should see your email listed under Calendar and Contacts Integration

Bi-Directional Calendar Sync

Going through the calendar sync process should automatically enable bi-directional calendar sync.

If this is not turned on even after the calendar sync process, do the following:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account at it.unlv.edu/zoom
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the tab bar, select Mail & Calendar
  4. Scroll down to Data Sync
  5. Turn on Automatically Sync Zoom Calendar Events Information Bi-directionally between Zoom and Integrated Calendars

Meetings created in Zoom will now appear in Google Calendar.
