Zoom and Data Privacy
Zoom does not use any of your audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or other communications like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard, and reactions) to train Zoom’s or any of its affiliated third-party artificial intelligence models. See Zoom’s article on how Zoom’s terms of service and practices apply to AI features. For more information about how Zoom AI Companion handles your data, visit Zoom’s support page: How Zoom AI Companion Features Handle your Data.
Limitations of Zoom AI Companion
There are limitations of AI outputs or generated content. The performance of AI-powered systems is based on the data they have been trained on, which can lead to errors or inaccuracies when presented with new or unexpected situations. Zoom AI Companion utilizes developing AI technology, and AI Companion features may provide incorrect, inaccurate, misleading, or offensive responses. It is important for you to check AI-generated content for accuracy and to follow Zoom’s Acceptable Use Guidelines when editing or directing generated content.
There are some important limitations to consider when using Zoom AI Companion:
- Currently, AI Companion only supports meetings held in English, as well as all questions and responses.
- Only the meeting host can start or stop AI Companion through the in-meeting controls.
- Questions submitted to the chatbot can only be answered if the content was discussed while the AI Companion was active in the meeting.
