Get Started with In-Meeting Zoom AI Companion

Enabling AI Companion Features

In order to use any AI Companion features, you must first enable and configure them in your account settings.

  1. Log into your UNLV Zoom account
  2. On the left-hand navigation, select Settings
  3. Select AI Companion tab. Here, under AI Companion, you will navigate between three sub-tabs: Meeting. Recording, and Whiteboard

Under MeetingMeeting Summary with AI Companion setting, turn the radio button to the ON position

Enable AI Companion Questions

Under Meeting, toggle the radio button beside Allow Users to Ask AI Companion Questions about the Meeting to the ON position.

Enable Smart Recording

Under Recording, toggle ON the radio button beside Smart Recording with AI Companion. Keep in mind that this only works if you cloud record your Zoom meetings.

Enable Content Generation

Under Whiteboard, toggle the radio button beside Whiteboard Content Generation with AI Companion to ON.

Using AI Companion in a Meeting

Turn AI Companion On

To turn on AI Companion in a Zoom meeting after starting one, look for the AI Companion button icon at the top right of the screen.

During the meeting, after turning on AI Companion, selecting this icon also will open up a side panel allowing you to ask AI Companion questions about the meeting.

Turn AI Companion Off

If you want to turn AI Companion off during the meeting, navigate to the top right of your meeting window, select the AI Companion sparkles, and select Stop AI Companion.
