Zoom AI Companion: Smart Recording

After a cloud-recorded meeting, AI Companion can automatically create smart recordings organized by chapter, highlight important information, and create action items for attendees. This helps you review recordings faster for meetings you may have missed and quickly find the information you need to take action.

Enabling Smart Recording

  1. Log into your UNLV Zoom account
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings
  3. Click the AI Companion tab
  4. Under Recording, select the Smart Recording with AI Companion toggle

The radio button toggled beside Smart Recording with AI Companion
  5. Select or clear any of the following check boxes as desired:
    1. Create recording highlights: Zoom will automatically highlight the most important parts of the recording. Hosts can adjust the highlights as needed and share the video summary with users
    2. Create smart chapters: Zoom will automatically group sections of the recording into chapters with an overview. Hosts can edit the chapters manually
    3. Create next steps: Zoom will automatically summarize any actions to take after the recorded session. Hosts can edit the next steps manually

NOTE: If you clear all the check boxes, Smart Recording will be disabled
