You can use Poll Everywhere in a Google Slides presentation. Just like with PowerPoint, you are able to add activities directly into your slides.
Add the Extension
Before you can add activities to your slides, you must first install the Poll Everywhere 1.0 for Google Slides extension. To do this:
- Access the Poll Everywhere slides extension website. This link is for Google Chrome, but you can also add the extension to Microsoft Edge
- Select Add Chrome Extension
- This will redirect you to the Chrome Web Store. Select Add to Chrome > Add Extension, and the extension will automatically download
Keep in mind that, for best results, your Chrome version should be up-to-date. You may also have to use Make Me Admin if you are attempting to add the extension on a UNLV-issued device.
Use Poll Everywhere in Google Slides
Now that you have added the extension, you will see a tab in Google Slides for Poll Everywhere.

If you do not see this tab, try refreshing the page or closing your browser, then reopening it. Now, you can insert an activity. To do this:
- Select Insert > Activity

- You may be prompted to log in, so select Launch Log-in Window

- If you are not logged in, you may need to complete multifactor authentication. If you are already logged into Poll Everywhere, you will not need to do anything. Once the browser has verified you are logged into Poll Everywhere, it will redirect you to Google Slides and display a list of your activities
Insert an Activity as a Slide
- Click on the title of the activity
- Select Insert Slide

You will receive a confirmation message after it has successfully inserted. Repeat these steps as needed to add other activities. Otherwise, just exit the Poll Everywhere window.

After exiting the Poll Everywhere window, you will be prompted to insert a background image via link. This is the Poll Everywhere activity or activities. Make sure you select
Insert Image, or your activity/activities
will not be added.

What About Adding Multiple Slides At Once?
While the option exists to use checkboxes to insert multiple activities at once, we recommend adding them one at a time. This is because, if you add multiples at once, only the last activity will have the Insert Background Image prompt, and thus the other activity slides will not contain activities.
