If you would like to change your MyUNLV password, or have forgotten it, you can update your password online.
Your MyUNLV password is not connected to your ACE Account
To login to MyUNLV, you'll use your NSHE ID number as the username and a MyUNLV password. Your MyUNLV and ACE Account are not connected. Changing your password for one does not affect the other.
Reset a Forgotten MyUNLV Password
Self-service password reset may require you have access to your UNLVMail or Rebelmail account
Once you are an active student or employee, if you request a new password for MyUNLV though this process, it will send the temporary password to your UNLVMail (for employees) or Rebelmail (for students) account.
New students and applicants will have their password sent to the personal email provided on your application.
If you do not receive a password reset email after completing this process, please call the IT Help Desk for assistance.
- Go to my.unlv.edu
- Select Forgot Your Password?

- Enter your User ID (NSHE ID) then select Continue

- Enter the answer to your Security Question then select Email New Password
Your new temporary password will be sent to your email. If you do not receive the email, please call the IT Help Desk.
Change Existing MyUNLV Password
If you are able to login to your MyUNLV account, but would like to change the password:
- Sign into my.unlv.edu with your NSHE ID and current password
- Select NavBar
(compass) in the top right corner
- Select Change My Password

- Enter your Current Password, followed by your desired New Password,
- If you wish to update your security question
- Select the magnifying glass in the Question field
- Select a question from the list
- Enter your answer in Response
- Select Change Password.

You will receive confirmation the password has been changed.
