Transcript requests are provided by the Office of the Registrar. The IT Help Desk can assist customers with logging into the transcript request portal and/or MyUNLV. The IT Help Desk is unable to assist customers with checking the status of a transcript request. For all other assistance, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
Your transcript is a history of coursework attempted at an institution, grades and GPA received, and any degrees awarded. Transcripts are often used to apply or transfer to an institution, provide coursework verification for employment, or for personal records.
Two types of transcripts can be be requested:
- Official transcripts are transcripts produced, certified, and signed by the Office of the Registrar. These are often used during transfers or in situations requiring UNLV to certify your academic records. These must be requested from the Office of the Registrar, generally have a cost associated, and take some time to process.
- Unofficial transcripts provide the same information as an official transcript, except they are not certified. These are often used for personal records or in situations where the receiving party will accept a non-certified copy. These can be requested self-service though MyUNLV at any time and are available for immediate download.
Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are certified from the Office of the Registrar and must be requested online. There generally is a cost associated with the request and it will take some time to process. Once requested, the Registrar will notify you when the records are ready for pickup or have been sent.
Official transcripts for non-NSHE recipients can only be sent though US Mail or picked up from the UNLV Maryland Campus. Electronic delivery of transcripts is unavailable, except when requesting a transcript to transfer to another NSHE institution.
Your ACE Account must be active to use this option. If you need assistance with your ACE Account,
refer to these instructions. Graduates and former students should refer to the instructions below.
If you are an active student with an ACE Account, transcripts can be requested from Rebel Success Hub:
- Go to transcript requests
- Select Current Students
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your transcript request
If you graduated or the last class you took was after 2010, you'll use your MyUNLV login information to submit your request:
- Go to transcript requests
- Select Graduates or Former Students
- Enter your NSHE ID and MyUNLV password. If you have forgotten your password, select Forgot Password on the right.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your transcript request
You may also use your Social Security Number in place of your NSHE ID. Leave the password field blank, then select Next.
If you graduated or the last class you took was prior to 2010, you'll use your L Number or Social Security Number to submit your request:
- Go to transcript requests
- Select Graduates or Former Students
- Enter your L Number or Social Security Number
- Leave the password field blank
- Select Next
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your transcript request
Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts provide the same information as an official transcript, except they are not certified. These can be requested and downloaded on demand from MyUNLV.
