Allowing or Blocking Pop-Ups or Redirects for Websites

Some websites may try to display pop-up windows, or redirect you to another website. Browsers may block these actions as a part of their default security settings.

Changing Pop-Up or Redirect Settings

Changing the settings for pop-ups and redirects depend on your browser.

Chrome

  1. If a pop-up was blocked, a Pop-up blocked Pop-up blocked indicator will appear in the address bar
  2. Select the notification
  3. Select the link to allow the pop-up one time
  4. To always allow pop-ups for the site, select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site] and then Done.

You may need to resubmit your request, or try downloading a file again after updating your settings.

Microsoft Edge

  1. If a pop-up was blocked, a Pop-up blocked Pop-up blocked indicator will appear in the address bar
  2. Select the notification
  3. Select the link to allow the pop-up one time
  4. To always allow pop-ups for the site, select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site] and then Done.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. If a pop-up was blocked, a banner will appear as well as a Pop-up blocked Pop-up blocked indicator will appear in the address bar
  2. Select Options or the Pop-up blocked indicator
  3. Select Show <pop-up web address> to allow the pop-up one time
  4. To always allow pop-ups for the site, update the Allow/Block setting in the options window

Apple Safari

  1. If a pop-up was blocked, a notification will appear in the address bar
  2. Select the notification
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to allow the pop-up or change your settings
