Mac Safari browser users: If nothing happens, you will need to allow pop-up windows from LastPass to export your vault data.
    1. When you visit a website with blocked pop-ups, you can show them by selecting the Show button in the Smart Search field.
    2. Return to your LastPass vault, then select Advanced Options > Export again.
    3. Allow pop-up windows from LastPass in Safari on Mac
    4. For the lastpass.com entry, use the drop-down menu and select Allow.
    5. Select Websites > Pop-up Windows.
    6. Use the Apple menu to go to Safari > Settings.

If you have successfully exported your LastPass vault data, it will be displayed in a new web browser window as well as downloaded a CSV file of your data (if popups have been enabled.)

Troubleshooting

  • If the CSV did not download, be sure to enable pop ups. Alternatively, copy the contents of the page and paste it into a text editor to save it as a file.
  • If you receive an error message "You don't have any data to export" then your account may only have passwords that have been shared to you. You cannot export passwords or data that you do not own.
