Conflict Management

Conflict management is the practice of being able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. It is the process of dealing with (perceived) incompatibilities or disagreements arising from diverging opinions, objectives, and needs. Conflicts can be an opportunity to enhance clarity and alignment.

Defining Projects

The Shared Services Project Management Organization (PMO) worked with department leadership across Administration to define the criteria for work to qualify as a project. This procedure codifies this criteria and documents when exceptions can be made.

Finding My Work and Marking Tasks Complete

The Support Portal gives UNLV users a single place to Submit and View Tickets, KB Articles, and Projects. Customers assigned to projects will be able to update all of the items that are considered their work. This includes assigned tickets, tasks, issues, updates, and project work assignments.

Folder Organization & Naming

The Shared Services Project Management Organization (PMO) uses Google Drive to store project documents that support project plans.  Project plan templates exist in Smartsheet.  This document refers to the organization and naming conventions for the Google Drive environment.This document is meant as a set of guidelines.  Not every item defined by this document will be found in all project folders.

How to Use the Customer Portal

This document will explain to stakeholders how to log into TDX PPM and use the Customer Portal for new projects, adding risks and issues, and view project plans/assigned tasks.
