Meeting summaries use the content of the meeting to generate a brief recap, next steps, and, depending on length, can also divide the summary into distinct sections by topic of discussion.
You also have the option to edit the AI-generated meeting summary for accuracy, share this summary of the meeting after it ends with participants, and can also delete it if needed.
Turn on Zoom AI Meeting Summary
- Log into your UNLV Zoom account
- Select Settings on the left-hand navigation
- Choose the Zoom AI tab
- For the Meeting Summary with AI, turn the radio button to the ON position

- You also have the option to check Turn on Meeting Summary Automatically when Meetings Start. This will start Zoom AI by default as soon as the meeting is started
NOTE: Under "Automatically Share Summary With," we recommend that you select "Only Me (Meeting Host)." This gives you the opportunity to verify all information in the summary prior to sharing to ensure it is an accurate representation of what was discussed in the meeting. If you share your summary automatically, it may provide inaccurate information.
Access a Meeting Summary
A summary will be available in your account after the meeting it was generated for concludes. Keep in mind that meeting summaries are stored in the meeting host's account. Even if you were an alternative host or a co-host in the meeting, only the host will have it stored. However, the host can choose to share it later.
When accessing a summary post-meeting, you will have the option to view it, share it, and edit its contents. To access a summary;
- Log into your UNLV Zoom account
- On the left-hand navigation, select Summaries
- Click on the title for the meeting you wish to view the summary for
- After clicking on the summary, you can view it. If you wish to share it or delete it, select Share or Delete at the bottom of the summary

- To edit the summary, click directly on the text. This allows you to edit its contents, as well as format it with bold, italics, headers, bulleted lists, and more. Edits automatically apply without needing to save
