Moving Panopto Videos

Before You Begin

Before you can move or copy content, make sure that:

  1.  Panopto is enabled in your WebCampus course and you have clicked on it to generate the folder in your course.
  2. Videos have been edited for FERPA compliance, such as removing or disguising any student participation
  3. Videos have been captioned per UNLV Accessibility Standards and Procedures.
  4. You reviewed all options for reusing Panopto content before proceeding with these instructions

Moving Content

If you wish to move your content, such as moving the original video to a new folder/course, you can utilize the move tool.

Moving Single Videos

  1. Locate your video
  2. Hover your mouse over the video and select Settings. Videos that are reference copies will show a Reference copy icon

  3. In the left navigation, select Overview
  4. To the right of the current folder name, select Edit

  5. Select your folder from the drop-down menu, or start typing the name of your destination course folder
  6. Select Save

Moving Videos in Bulk

  1. Go to WebCampus and open your source/sending course. If you want to move from your "My Folder," select any WebCampus course.
  2. In the left navigation, select Panopto Recordings
    1. If you do not see Panopto Recordings, you will need to activate it
  3. Select Open in a new tab to launch the full version of Panopto

  4. In the left navigation, confirm you are in the right folder. If you need to switch to your "My Folder," select My Folder
  5. Select one, or multiple videos by clicking the box at the top left corner of each video
  6. Select the Move icon

  7. Select the destination folder from the drop-down menu, or type in the name of the destination folder if it is not visible in the drop-down
  8. Select Move
