ACE Student Self-Activation


New students can request an activation email to activate their ACE account via online self-activation.


If you are a student and have not signed into your ACE Account yet, you can utilize ACE Self-Activation to help activate your ACE Account.

You might already have an activation email waiting for you

You may have already received an email containing the link to activate your ACE Account. This email is sent to your personal email provided on your application to UNLV. This email is typically sent out the morning after you accept your admission to UNLV in MyUNLV.

If you did not receive this email, or the activation link is expired, you can request a new one by following the instructions below.

Before Requesting Activation

Before you can request an activation email, verify the following:

  • You have accepted your admission to UNLV
  • If you are a non-degree seeking student, you must enroll in classes first
  • You have waited until the next morning...
    • after accepting admission for degree seeking students.
    • after enrolling in at least one class for non-degree seeking students.
  • You have access to the email you provided on your UNLV application

Requesting Activation

Once you have verified you are eligible for an account, you can request activation for your ACE account.

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your NSHE ID. Your NSHE ID is your 10-digit student ID number and is the same as your username for MyUNLV.
    • If you have ever been admitted to another NSHE institution (UNR, NSC, CSN, TMCC, GBC, WNC), your NSHE ID number will be the same for UNLV. 
  3. Enter your last name, as it was entered on your application.
  4. Enter your date of birth, including slash (/) characters.
  5. Select Next.

If your information is correct, you will receive a confirmation message that an activation email was sent.

If you did not receive the activation email, or your information is not recognized by the activation portal, please call the IT Help Desk for immediate assistance. 

If you have forgotten your password, you may be able to reset it self-service.
